PALJA CHECK Terms of Service
Effective September 15, 2026
This English version is a translation. If it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
These terms apply to everyone who uses the service (the “Service”) provided by PALJA CHECK (“we”). How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Read the Privacy Policy
Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the rights, duties and responsibilities of PALJA CHECK and the users of the Service, and how the Service is used.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- “Service” means the PALJA CHECK website and everything it provides, including daily scores, compatibility scores, share cards and reminders.
- “User” means anyone who uses the Service, whether or not they sign in.
- “Record” means the date of birth, time of birth, name and scores saved when a user asks for a score.
- “Share card” means a page, reached by its link, that shows others a user's name and scores, or for a compatibility check both people's names and the match score.
Article 3 (Posting and changing these terms)
These terms are posted on this page and linked from the bottom of every page of the Service.
We may change these terms within the limits of the law. We announce a change on this page, with the new text, the effective date and the reason, at least 7 days before it takes effect, or at least 30 days before if it is unfavorable to users. Unfavorable changes are also announced within the Service.
If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using the Service and delete your records. If you keep using the Service after the effective date without objecting, you are treated as having accepted the change.
Article 4 (What the Service is)
The Service turns the Korean birth-chart tradition (saju) into scores. The formula is shown on screen. The scores are for entertainment and reference.
The scores are not medical, legal, financial, psychological or any other professional advice, and they don't predict events. Don't base important decisions on them alone.
Article 5 (Using the Service)
You can get scores without an account. Records made without signing in are deleted as the Privacy Policy describes.
Signing in with a Google account keeps your records and lets you turn on reminders.
The Service is free. We don't charge fees or take payments.
Article 6 (Age)
You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service. You can't create your own record with a date of birth that shows you are under 14.
Article 7 (Information about other people)
If you enter another person's date of birth, time of birth or name, for example for a compatibility check, or share a card that shows their name, you must tell that person and get their agreement first.
Disputes caused by entering someone's information without their agreement are between you and that person. If that person asks, we delete the information under the Privacy Policy.
Article 9 (Prohibited conduct)
Users must not:
- Enter another person's information without their agreement, or pretend to be someone else.
- Send automated requests in bulk, or try to get around the limits on creating records.
- Try to access other users' records, or interfere with the Service's servers or security.
- Copy, sell or republish the Service's scores, text or design for commercial purposes without our permission.
- Use a name on a share card to insult others, post obscene content, or violate the law or anyone else's rights.
Article 10 (Changing or ending the Service)
We may change, pause or end all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons. We announce it on the Service in advance; if an urgent problem such as a security issue makes that impossible, we announce it as soon as we can.
Because the Service is free, we don't pay compensation for such changes, unless the law requires it or the loss is caused by our intentional act or gross negligence.
Article 11 (Reminders)
Reminders are sent only if you turn them on, and you can turn them off in Settings at any time.
Delivery depends on your browser, device and push service, so a reminder can arrive late or not arrive.
Article 12 (Intellectual property)
The Service's text, design, images and implementation of its formula belong to us or to their rights holders.
You may share your share cards and results for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Article 13 (Restricting and ending use)
You can stop using the Service at any time. Deleting a record in Settings removes that record; to delete your other records and the link to your Google account, write to contact@otoworks.ai.
If a user breaks Article 9, we may restrict or block their use. Except in urgent cases, if we can reach the user we tell them the reason first and give them a chance to explain.
Article 14 (Limits of liability)
We aren't liable for losses caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, network outages or failures of services run by others, or by causes attributable to the user.
We aren't liable for decisions users make based on the scores (Article 4), or for disputes between users and the people whose information they entered (Article 7).
These limits don't apply to losses caused by our intentional act or gross negligence, or where the law doesn't allow liability to be limited.
Article 15 (Disputes and governing law)
We try to resolve complaints quickly. Write to contact@otoworks.ai.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
Any lawsuit about the Service goes to the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
Addendum
These terms take effect on September 15, 2026.
